Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show 2016

(Above:  My booth ... # 103 ... at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show.)

This blog post will have to be short!  I've been busy talking about, sharing, and selling my work here at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show.  Thankfully, I snapped a few photos on Thursday before the gala opening.  This is how the space looked then!

This is the eighth show I've ever done.  The first time I was accepted into a show was three years ago.  It just happened to be the Philadelphia Museum of Art Show ... one of the top craft exhibitions in the entire country.  I've been trying to return ever since but only got onto the "wait list".  This year I applied in two different categories:  Decorative Fibers and  Basketry.  I thought I was increasing my odds ... hoping for one acceptance or the other.  I didn't even know that it was possible to be accepted into two but apparently it is!  Both my 2D, framed work and my fiber vessels are here.  It is the first  time was opted for a large booth, 10' x 15' instead of the standard 10' x 10'.  I've also got fiber Christmas ornaments and brooches.

Things are going very well.  Some of the work in these photos have found new homes.  Tomorrow is the last day and I'm hoping to pack up even less work.

I'm linking this blog post to Nina-Marie's "Off the Wall Fridays", a site for sharing fiber arts.

By now, the show is probably over, so I hope you went home with very little. I love the clean look of your booth. Love your baskets, but the ornaments are really interesting and unique. Beautiful work!
